This shawl was designed for a single skein of yarn, traveling solo towards the destination to become something else… perhaps your next travel companion?
The construction of this crescent shaped shawl is really easy: it is worked flat from the top down, with increases at the beginning and at the end of each RS row.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approx. 60¾“ 152 cm from side to side and 13½” 34 cm from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking).
MATERIALS
- 1 skein of approx. 400 yards 366m of fingering weight yarn.
- Needles: US 6 4 mm needles.
- Other notions: Tapestry needle, a split ring st marker or similar, blocking pins or wires.
GAUGE
16 sts and 48 rows to 4” 10cm in garter st on US 6 4 mm needles after blocking.
