This shawl is worked sideways, starting on one tip. You make increases at the beginning of every RS row, which gives this shawl the triangular shape.
The shawl alternates columns of lace and 2x2 rib, and it is designed so that you just bind off whenever you run out of yarn.
I designed it this way because the yarn I used for it is very special and luxurious, and I really wanted to make the most of this tiny skein.
Yarn:
Approx. 315 yards of lace or light fingering weight yarn.
You can use virtually any yarn to make this shawl. I used a skein of very fine yarn and I knitted it until I ran out, but there is guidance in the pattern for you to be able to keep working new repeats. You can use any lace weight, fingering or even heavier yarns! Just make sure you adjust the needle size to achieve a loose gauge.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) needles.
Other notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.
