This unique workshop is designed to be an amazing opportunity to have fun while learning StevenBe’s personal glossary of Tips & Tricks of a Lazy Knitter. Students will explore working with this candy yarn box of color, texture, beads and ribbon yarn.
Steven will have Adele's unique one of a kind gift boxes of mohair magic.
Adele has formed a job creation program in South Africa that employs women with little to no education and teaches them to spin, dye, bead and ribbon amazingly soft mohair yarn. South Africa is the largest producer and exporter of Mohair in the world and Steven was introduced to this program years ago on one of his many trips to S.A.
StevenBe sets you free from patterns as written and helps you feel comfortable making your own modifications and design decisions, releasing the hidden designer within you!
Skill Level: Adventurous beginner and up
You can use your own yarn, you can purchase a
•A notebook and pen or pencil for taking copious notes.
•Yarns should be chosen and wound prior to class.(Adele boxes come rewound) More yarns can be added during class.
•A variety of needle sizes from US 11 or 13 will be needed depending on yarn choices.
•Preferred notions including: stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, and scissors.
•A work-in-progress or finished project for show and tell (the desire to be admired is not required -but it is recommended!)
StevenBe will provide: SB handout, students will also receive a copy of their favorite Adele pattern: shawl, scarf, poncho or sweater.
Steven will have unique yarns available during class.
