Frisky Witch is a simple ribbed vest, with just a touch of cables, but the magic that those cables bring here is just perfect, isn't it?

I designed the top with shaping under each arm, so modifications are easy, and ease can be added before you get to the bust. For the shoulders I wanted just the smallest hint of a cap, so you can wear this without a shirt underneath. Plus, I shaped the neckline so different neckline treatments can easily be substituted.

Frisky Witch can be worn either with or without a shirt underneath, and this simple cable pattern is classic enough to go with anything from a patterned dress (as shown) to a white button down and jeans.

Frisky Witch is knit from the bottom up in the round to armholes and then split into front and back pieces, which are knit flat to shoulders. Once shoulders are seamed, stitches are picked up around the armholes and neckline for the cowl neck and armhole trim.

Notes are included in pattern for modifying length or body circumference and for altering side shaping, as well as neckline and shoulders. I’ve also included information on creating either a turtleneck or collared option. Cable instructions are both charted and written.
