Every fall my mantle is crowded with knitted pumpkins of all shapes, sizes & colors. I’d like to think that Gordon is getting his“gourd on”as the keeper of those pumpkins. He watches over them to make sure they don’t roll away or get snatched. And you better believe that while dutifully fulfilling his watch post he gets mighty chilly and needs every inch of that cozy sweater! If you’ve got pumpkins in your house this fall, you definitely need a Gordon to protect them!
Materials:
Five 20g mini skeins of fingering weight yarn
Size 1 (2.5 mm) double-pointed needles (dpn) or other needles preferred for small circumference knitting.
Yarn needle
Polyfil for stuffing
Black felt (for mouth & eyes if desired)
Waste yarn
Finished Measurements:
Approx. 7.5” (19 cm) tall and 8” (20 cm) pumpkin head circumference when stuffed.
